Administrator Dash Board

  • Administrator Dash Board allows access to all useful functions from single panel.

  • To access the Administrator Dash Board of the site, user has to login with a valid Username & Password.

Once user has logged in to the administrator end, they see a welcome screen (See Figure 1).

You will notice that a User Menu appears in the left navigation pane. This menu may contain options depending on the modules available and the user credentials.

The functions available from the menu will vary depending on the user access permissions. 

  • builtCMS provides a clean and simple user interface. To expand the menu click on the menu name or -. To collapse the menu click on the menu name or -  .

  • The following detail gives a short description of the typical menu items you are likely to see:

     Click this button to manage pages, menu,submenus and banners.
    Contact Us
     Click this button to get feedback from visitors, customers.

     Click this button to get information about how many visitors visit the website and which pages are visited and how many times/ percentage, they are visited.
     Click this button to publish news on the website.
    Testimonial  Click this button to publish the testimonials or compliments from the client on the website.

1. CMS

We can perform the following functions from the CMS module :

  • Create, Edit, Delete & Search a page. 

  • Menu Assignment

  • Create & Assign Submenus and Manage Submenus.

  • Home Page Rotating Banner Management.

  • Cyclic Images Management.

  • Menu Theme Management.

  • Pages Banner Management                     

1.1 Pages

This is the Menu Page List screen (Figure 2). The instructions will guide you step by step so your task will be easier.

  • Create a new page.

  • Search a page from the page list.

  • Edit a page. 

  • Delete a page from the list. 

Creating a new page

Click on the ‘Create New Page’ link (See Figure 2)

When the Add / Create New Page form opens – Enter the following Fields: (See Figure 3)

(a)Page Name (Mandatory):  (Spaces and Special characters are not allowed in page name.) 

Page name gives an indication as to what is contained on the page. A page name may be part of the actual content.  E.g. products, services, contact us. Naming a page correctly helps in SEO.

(b)Friendly Page Name (Mandatory): (Space and special characters are not allowed)

Friendly page titles help to maximize search engine friendliness.

The ‘Friendly Page Name’ gives an identification that is shown in the URL and what you want to show in name for that page in URL

(c)Page Title (Mandatory):  (Maximum 100 characters only.) 

A title tag tells both users and search engines what the topic of a particular page is. Ideally you should create a unique title for each page on your site. Titles can be both short and informative. 

(d)Master Page (Mandatory): 

Master pages allow you to select layout for the pages. By default we provide two layouts. User can create their master page in Site Template

(e)Meta Page Title (Mandatory):  (Maximum 250 characters only.)

The Meta Title Tag is located in the top of a web page and describes the content of that page. Meta Page Title is not only displayed at the top of the browser window, but also appears as the linked text when potential customers review results from a search.

(f)Meta Keywords: (Maximum 500 characters only.)

Keywords are one of the most important SEO item for every search engine with which the search strings are matched against. With a little research and thinking the right keywords can be selected. Enter the keywords using the (,) separator. 

“Auto” Button generates generate Meta keywords from actual content of page


(g)Meta Description: (Maximum 500 characters only.) 

Meta description is the summary of what the page is about. Whereas a page’s title may be a few words or a phrase, a page’s Meta description can be a sentence or two or a short paragraph.
  Meta Description might appear as snippets for your pages. A snippet appears under the page’s title and above a page’s URL in a search results.  

(h)Top Banner (Mandatory): Displays the banner at the top of page.

(i) Description:  Write your own content for the related topics with the help of FCK editor.

There are simple functions for basic text formatting and more advanced features like creation of links and tables. Content Items are all the text and images you want to appear on a page. (See Figure 4) Write easy-to-read text, Stay organized around the topic, Use relevant language, Create fresh & unique content primarily for users.

(j)Preview – Click on the page_preview_button button to see how the page will be display.

(k) Save – Click on the page_save_button button to create the new page.

(l) Back -Click on the back_button button to exit the page without saving changes. (See Figure 4)


(1)Editing, Deleting & Searching a page -

This new page gets added to the page list. The latest page created appears last in the page list.

To edit an existing page we can open that page from the page list by clicking on the ‘page_edit_icon ’ icon next to the page that you want to edit or on the Page name (See Figure 6). Once the page details are opened, we can edit the content & click on  the save_page_button button to save those changes.

We can click on the ‘page_delete_icon ’ icon to delete an existing page.

To search a particular page from a page list – type in the page name in the textbox (See Figure 5) & click on the page_search_button button. It will show us the page or a list of pages matching that string. 

A popup message window will appear to confirm whether you want to delete that page or not. Click on the ok_button button to confirm the ‘Delete’ action. A confirmation message will appear on top of the page list as - Page deleted successfully. Or click on the cancel_button button if you don’t want to delete that page. (See Figure 6)

1.2 Menu Assignment

Menu and Submenu assignment helps us to keep the things organized. A website will  have a greater impact when there is a menu to help users navigate to different pages. 

A list of Menu Types will appear on the screen. We can assign the menu at the Top of the page or to the Bottom of a page. To assign a page click on the ‘Top’ or ‘Bottom’ link or we can click on assign (assign_page_icon ) icon.  (See Figure 7)


It will show the page list to assign either in the top or bottom (See Figure 8). Every page name has a check box (check_box ) next to it. To assign a page to menu,  click in the check the box next to it. Or click in the check box  to remove it from the menu.  & click on the  save_button button to confirm the action. Click on the back_to_list_buttonbutton to leave the screen without performing any action.

1.3 Assign Submenu

 Manage Dynamic Menu is the screen where we can define the sort order for the menus. This is reflected in the Front-end of your site. 

This column allows you to change the relevant order that the menus display on the front-end of your web page(s). 

To modify this order, type in the number for setting the order in which you would like to have them presented. Then, click the Save button to update the changes (See Figure 9). A message will be displayed – ‘Main Menu Sort Order Updated Successfully.’ confirming the changes.

To add the Submenu click on the main menu name present in left hand side column or click on the Add Sub Menu icon   (See Figure 9).

A new sub menu list page (Manage menu list page) will be displayed. Click on the ‘Add Sub Menu’ link to add a new submenu to the selected main menu.


Click on the delete_submenu_icon button to remove/delete the submenu from a menu.

Click on the add_submenu_icon  button to add another level of submenu. I.e. submenu for a submenu. (See Figure 10)

To edit a submenu click on the edit_submenu_icon button or the on the particular page name.- a new Manage Sub Menu form is displayed.  .

1.3.1 Create or Manage a Submenu

 To create a new sub menu click on the add_submenu_button button.To edit a sub menu click on the  submenu_edit_icon button or on the page name – a new Manage Sub Menu form is displayed. 


Main Menu Name will always be prefilled.


Select an appropriate sub menu name & enter it in the Sub Menu Name field.


Enter a desired sort order number in the Sort Order field. It will be reflected on the front end.


Select a Page Link from the drop-down box which has list of all the pages present.


Select the Status of the Submenu whether Active / Inactive by selecting Yes / No from the drop-down box. Select (Yes) from this drop-down list to display the submenu in the front-end of the website. Select (No) to hide submenu (See Figure 11).

Click on the save_submenu_button button to add a submenu or the back_to_list_button button to go back to the sub menu list without saving the changes.

1.4 Home Page Rotating Banner

 This component allows you to manage and display banners for home page of your web site. In the Administrator (Back-end), you can upload, delete, edit, display or hide the banners. Banners are displayed on the Home page of your Site (Front-end).

Above mentioned navigation displays the list of Home Page banners (See Figure 12).

Click on the  add_banner_button  button, to add new banner to the list.

Click on the  edit_banner_button icon to edit an existing banner . 

Click on the  delete_banner_button icon to delete/remove the banner from the list.

When we click on the add_banner_button button Add/Edit Home Page Banner page is displayed. 

Click on the choose_file_button button to browse a file / banner you want to upload (See Figure 13).

Specify the Title & Sort Order

Banner location is dependent upon the sort order being used for a particular banner.

Select the Status  as active to display the banners at the front end- and select  the status as inactive to if you dont want the banners to be displayed 

While adding a new banner - Click on the add_button button to add the specific banner to the list.

While editing a banner from the list click on the save_button button  to save the changes made in the banner details.

1.5 Cyclic Images

 In this section we can display cyclically rotating small images, logos of our customers, images of products, and etc.

Above mentioned navigation displays the list of Cyclic images (See Figure 14)

Click on the add_image_button button, to add new image to the list.

Click on the  edit_icon icon to edit an existing image. 

Click on the  delete_icon icon, to delete / remove the image from the list.

When we click on the add_images_button button, Add/Edit Cyclic Images page is displayed.

Click on the choose_file_button button to browse an image/logo you want to upload (See Figure 15).

Specify Title, URL, Numeric value to Sort order, and status in the relevant fields.

Click on the add_button button to add images to list of cyclic images. Click on the back_button  button to go back without adding images to the list.

1.6   Menu Theme


In this section we can configure the menu themes horizontally, or vertically.

Above mentioned navigation displays the list of ‘Menu Configuration’ page (See Figure 16).

When we click on menu_configure_icon icon Main Menu Setting page is displayed (See Figure 17).

Fill all the information required and Click on the submit_button button.

1.7 Pages Banner

 This component allows you to manage and display banners for inner pages of your web site. In the Administrator (Back-end), you can upload, delete, edit, display or hide the banners. Banners are displayed on the inner pages of your Site (Front-end).

Above mentioned navigation displays the list of Cyclic images (See Figure 18)

Click on the add_banner_button  button, to add new banner to the list.

Click on  the  delete_icon icon , to delete/ remove the image from the list.

When we click on the add_banner_button button ,Add Top Banner page is displayed.

Click on the add_image_icon icon  to browse a banner you want to upload (See Figure 19). 

Click on the choose_file_button button  to browse a banner you want to upload. 

Click on the add_button button  to add images to list of banner. Click on the back_button button to go back without adding the banner to the list.

Click on the  delete_button button  to remove the images to list of banners.
